Paris
Located in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, this Haussmannian apartment was made for both living and entertaining. There’s a bold 1960-1970s influence with Willy Rizzo tables; Pierre Vandel furniture in black and burgundy; Charles Eames fibreglass chairs from Herman Miller; Toga sofas in camel coloured suede, and an octagonal dining table by Roche Bobois. Vintage Berber rugs from Marrakech, Eileen Gray desk lamps, Bauhaus market finds, and Bookniture props also decorate the space. Although it has a contemporary feel, history has been honoured: the herringbone parquet floor, wall panelling and stained glass including fasces dating back to the French Revolution have been carefully restored to their original splendour. There's an ingenious maximising of space in the all-red kitchen. And art is literally embedded into the apartment’s design with its Art Deco guest bathroom featuring wallpaper by French Illustrator Delphine Cauly, and gold leaf mural by artist Christina Maximoff.
