Vintage 1970s Italian Glazed Ceramic Sculptural Vase

This vintage glazed ceramic sculptural vase was designed by Robert Rigon for Bertoncello Ceramiche in the 1970s in Italy. Tobacco was the favourite colour of Giovanni Bertoncello, who founded the company together with Marco Pizza in 1956 in Schiavon, the province of Vicenza, Italy. The forms of Bertoncello ceramics are often modernist in approach with an unexpected, sculptural shape. This vase is made of clay and finished with a special glazing which gives it a unique appearance. This vase is a collector’s piece and in excellent condition. It looks striking as a sculptural object or filled with flowers.
